LAY MINISTERS IN OUR PARISH

 Douglas Grates 
Was commissioned as a Lay Minister for the Diocese of Saginaw and in the Parish of St Roch in 2013, and the Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in 2016, and 2019. As a Lay Minister his role is to assist the Parish Priest where possible. He has celebrated Word and Communion Services and has trained in "Prepare and Enrich Marriage Preparation" Facilitator and the Sunday Celebration in the Absence of a Priest. He has assisted Father in Interments at our cemeteries, prepared funeral celebrations with grieving families, conducted Bible Studies, and Adult Faith Formation. Doug is also a Liturgical Minister: Altar Setter, Usher, Lector and Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. He takes the Eucharist to those unable to come to Mass and visits those in need.

 Linda Oeschger
Was commissioned as a Lay Minister for the Diocese of Saginaw and in the Parish of St Francis Borgia in 2010, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in 2013, 2016, and 2019. Her role a a Lay Minister is to assist the Parish Priest where possible. Linda has focused on Faith formation to Junior High and Adults in the parish. She has ministered to the Home Bound and worked as a coordinator for Religious Education, and RCIA. Linda also conducts Bible study and is a Liturgical Minister: Hospitality, Lector, and Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. When needed Linda conducts celebrations of Word and Communion.
